Humility Vulnerability Forgiveness Healing
The process of healing is often progressive while God cleans out the junk in our hearts weighing us down and keeping us from flowing in His Spirit and being in right relationship with Him and others. Humility is a foundational force for good that attracts the grace of God (1Peter 5:5). God resists the proud (James 4:6).
Vulnerability in relationships helps people see your humanity, open up to you, feel safe in your presence and be more inclined to communicate to you freely once they can relate to you. People relate more to reality than perfection. Purporting and parading as a perfect person is a farce and playing the peacock will only repel people from you rather than draw them to you.
Forgiveness frees the soul, removing the toxicity of bitterness, anger, resentment, unforgiveness, hostility and the agony and disappointment of unrealistic expectations. Forgive and live my friend. It’s sometimes hard to do, but if you dig deeper into why you are unwilling or unable to forgive, usually an element of pride and superiority is there whereby you are trying to exalt and elevate yourself as being more righteous than the person you are unwilling to forgive.
Yet God forgave you (us) of your (our) sins and therefore expects the same of you (us), less you (we) be delivered to demons to torment you (us) and hellfire for eternity to be among the unforgiving, evil and sinful who do not possess the love of God. After all, let us remember, God is love (1John 4:8). Love forgives, holds no record or wrongs and is patient and kind (1Corinthians 13). To be like God and Jesus, who hung on the cross with arms open wide and prayed, “Father forgive them, because they do not know what they are doing” (Luke 23:34); then you too must open your heart to forgive others. Forgiveness is a decision. Feelings may not be there immediately, but forgive by faith and in due time the feelings will follow and reconciliation will occur.
Healing can be inward and outward (physical). Sometimes the two occur together simultaneously. Some healings are instantaneous and others are progressive. Nevertheless rejoice in God’s Word, seek His face, heart, will and ways and most surely healing will flow to you and through you.
