Overcoming adversity, often daily, is common to life. As the surviving son to a mother who was an alcoholic and drug addict (tragically and ironically, killed by an 18 year old drunk driver); I was raised by my maternal grandparents. Thus I had to learn how to survive, battle and overcome adversity at a young age. Like it or not, I had to do so.

Today, I speak on overcoming adversity around the world and inspire many youth and elderly alike. In fact, I cared for the grandparents who raised me from my youth, when they became old and needed me (my mother having predeceased them).
