Mind of Christ – Heavenly Minded – Spiritual Victory
Christians are to have the mind of Christ. The apostle Paul wrote to Christians at the church in Corinth stating: “we have the mind of Christ” (1Corinthians 2:16). Our minds are to be renewed with the Word of God, whereby we can be transformed within and not think like the world (Romans 12:1-2). Getting rid of the carnal fleshly mind to possess the mind of Christ and think God’s thoughts is a process, as you discard the old you and selfish way of thinking to possess Christ’s nature and godly thoughts. The apostle Paul wrote much about this war between the carnal mind and the spirit of man in Romans chapters 6 and 8. The more your mind can be renewed to think as does Jesus, preferring and serving others (Romans 12:10; Philippians 2:3-8), the more free and liberated from selfishness and the lower nature you will be to live godly and walk in the power of the Holy Spirit to be a light, voice and blessing to others in this dark world.
